Even a short movie was created. Most of the time during the event we spent outside of urban area, accommodated in a hostel applying for European Ecolabel and catered by local cook and consuming local food. Workshops and Estonian folk music party were to support the traditions’ and sustainability aspect. We also had Ecological European Night - everyone had to bring at least one organic product. This was the event where the current board of EnWG met and decided to become official working group. So the New Year promise „Make a new start” seemed to have worked. Conference „Changing Climate – Changing People?” June 6-13 2008, in Aachen and Bonn An event organised by AEGEE-Aachen and European geography students’ organisation EGEA and supported by EnWG with the aim to examine scientific background, the consequences and the solutions of global environmental change. It comprised: - Two days of workshops and debates together with 15 EGEA participants, one of them organized by EGEA and one by AEGEE. - Higher Education: We’had representation from European Commission in Bonn, IPCC researchers, politicians and professors of universities - Excursion to Bonn, the former capitol of Germany, to visit a topic related NGO, e.g. one of the many UN-Programs which are located in Bonn - A final debate with experts from different disciplines as well as entrepreneurs and politicians.
