Dear AEGEE members

We the people from the world of the environment are always thinking about the future, so we want to be the first ones wishing all AEGEEans the best for the new 2011 that is almost here. There are just a few more days, and the 2010 will be history! It has been a year of hard work for our WG and we want 2011 to keep growing, becoming more active and be full of new projects, actions and opportunities to learn. We're encouraging you to become active in EnWG, contact the board and join us in this green adventure!

So, we from your EnWG board want to wish you a warm end of 2010 (with the warm of your people and not because of "Global Warming") and a very very happy and green 2011!

Are you looking for some fresh and unique ideas for your SU?
Would you like to organize a special SU that will include the world tomorrow?

This year EnWG team prepared 3 main ideas for YOUR green SU:
1) ECO FRIENDLY SU: reducing ecological footprint of SU
2) GREEN SU ACTIVITIES: including green activities into SU programme
3) ECO VOLUNTEERING SU ACTIVITIES: including voluntary work into SU programme

- giving workshops and presentations by EnWG team

Sustainable travelling is back!!

The European aviation industry suffered tremendous from this year's volcanic explosion. Thousands of flights from around the continent were canceled because of the volcanic ash. But.. you don't have to be affected!
Reduce CO2 emissions and be where you want it, the way you want it; by having fun! :-)

*Where?** *Magdeburg, Germany (only 1,5 hours away from Berlin-Schoenefeld Airport)
*Participation Fee *of 35 Euro includes accommodation, 3 meals per day, an European night and a sightseeing tour.

USSR: Ultimate Survival - Sustainable Road to AGORA
As members of the Environmental Working Group of AEGEE, we are concerned about the impact of some 600 people traveling sustainable or not to the AGORA. What we want is to reduce the event’s ecological footprint by promoting sustainable ways of transport. And just for showing you that sustainable travel can also be a great experience, you are invited to join our contest.

What do you have to do?
Take a sustainable way of transport (bus or train) and have fun! But don’t forget to take a lot of pictures during your trip. After coming back, upload your best pictures on our Facebook group (http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=151367866469) and show others that the problem concerns you!

What do you get?
We have prepared some interesting prizes for the best pictures, thanks to our sponsor, Lonely Planet. They are waiting for you!
