Our Aims and Goals
Our aims are:
- Raise awareness on environmental issues within AEGEE and European youth
- Facilitate discussion on the topic while providing understandable information
- Initiate and support on environmental activities within AEGEE network
- Reduce the ecological impact of AEGEE
- Show that taking into account environmental aspects can also be fun and economically beneficial

History
Since Spring Agora 2007 in Valletta AEGEE has again an Environmental Working Group (EnWG).
The Environmental Working Group existed before in AEGEE history: in fact it was the very second working group of AEGEE,
founded in 1990 just after East-West Working Group. Environmental Weeks in different parts of Europe were held in 1991,
1992 and 1993, plus several environmental congresses, academies and conferences throughout the 90s. But as it seems that
at some point there were not enough enthusiasts able to keep the working group alive and in 1999 it was deleted.

Board
After past online elections in October 2012, Environmental WG has a brand new board,
composed of young and experienced AEGEEans full of energy and ideas.
Don't hesitate to approach us if you have any doubt, idea, experience to share... We are all here to work
for AEGEE and help finding the way to make AEGEE more compatible with environment!
